Who wants to go swimming?

Daddy started swimming at the Y. He dug out a pair of mom's old goggles. Mom like her blue pair better so she doesn't mind sharing her yellow ones. I decided that I liked them too.

Dad's been talking about how I'm a multi sport athlete. I'm not sure if this is quite what he meant by that. I don't know how baseball and swimming would work at the same time.

However....I have heard of water jogging so maybe there is some kind of water baseball that I don't know about yet.

What more can a man ask for?

Christmas morning....my first bike! Does it get any better than that?!?!?! I think not.

yo homes, I'm from the West side.

Well....our first big snow of the winter is here. It's about time that I taught dad a thing or two about shoveling.

You see, Dad. It's all about the scoop and the dump. Just like in real estate, the old mantra, "location, location, location" holds true. You can't pick up the snow and put it back on the driveway. That type of shovelling is for one year olds. Once you're two, and certaily, a man of your age, you should be able to master the dump.

As you shovel, the snow will begin to mound up along the edges of the yard over here. Look closely and you'll see the very early stages of a pile. If it's a bad winter with lots of snow, you really have to use the muscles to heave the snow over the pile and further into the yard.

To finish up, clean off your shovel and keep it dry so it doesn't leave marks on the garage floor.

Can't say no to Grandma!

Grandma Golden felt very compelled to bake a cake for my birthday. What little guy on the planet could say no to that. Nobody that I know.

So....as they say....let them eat cake!

I convinced Daddy to take me down the BIG slide.

Even though it took me a long time to warm up to the idea of Monkey Joe's and my baby cousin Raegan was originally much braver than I was, it turned out to be a pretty fun day. We came, we bounced, we conquered.

Happy Thanksgiving

Mom decided that she wanted to host Thanksgiving this year...give the grandma's a break. So she pulled out the china and crystal and made her attempt at the Gunvalson favorite butterhorns. Grandma Golden took charge of the turkey in the nesco. The day ran very smoothly.

Carter and I didn't get to have the fancy plates. But we did get these cool paper ones with a cornucopia on it.

After dinner we spent some time relaxing with some good books.
