On the worksite

Quinn is a digger man. He has become quite sophisticated. He'll correct you if you say digger and remind you that it's an excavator, crane, dump truck, backhoe loader, etc. He'll tell you their specific jobs. So because of this love of large vehicles, we ventured off to Quarry Quest.

Not only were their diggers, but he got to take his first ride on a school bus from the parking area down into the deep belly of a quarry.

He got to take a ride an excavator and scoop up lots of rocks and dirt. Some of the lines to use the equipment were quite long and slow moving, so we passed. But we've got connections to our very own digger man who can take us on rides whenever we want.

Three became four....

Introducing Baby Meyers #2.

Here's baby at 20 weeks.

While at the ultrasound, the technician said that the baby was looking excellent...everything developing as normal, lots of movement, all the right stuff. When taking measurements, she noticed that the baby's head was measuring in the 90th percentile. I had to laugh...this baby is just like his/her big brother. Big headed babies....that's how we roll.

So far this pregnancy is exactly like Quinn's. No nausea or yuckiness. A little tired here and there. Still able to exercise. No extreme smell or food aversions. However, the belly seems to be coming on much quicker this time.

Wild man

When looking for a local adventure for one final activity of the summer, there's one Wisconsin treasure that remains for kids....Bay Beach in Green Bay. At $0.25 a ticket, you can ride all day and hardly make a dent in the budget.

I thought he'd freak out. Unlike one of his parents who will remain unidentified who hates rides of all kinds, Quinn has an unknown wild man streak.

He knows how to drive boats...

"What do you mean, I need a lifejacket?"

Brings up the rear of a long train, just like the little red caboose...

flies fighter jets and shoots big guns...

Tames giant ladybugs...

Drives the fastest race car....

Masters the lean...

says hello to the ladies (and dad)....

and still manages to win the race.

And like all boat driving, wild beast taming, jet flying, race car driving wild men...needs a nap at the end of a long morning.
