Just drove up for a snuggle

Who wouldn't drive 2 hours to hold this sleepy babe?

1 month old

One month old already. We tried to do a little photo shoot with Quinn. He hasn't quite got the concept of aiming at your subject. Mostly just photos of the carpet.
First bottle with dad! You weren't really a fan, but you did it! Now mom and dad can go on a date!

Smile trainging with Daddy. You're too little to work out with him...so this will have to be sufficient.

Hey ladies

Go, Go Gadget arms...

On my first day home with both boys alone, I found myself in a difficult position. Quinn was downstairs playing and Clayton was sleeping in his crib. I thought I'd steal a few minutes to take a quick shower. As I was finishing up, Clay woke up and was crying. He had been crying for several minutes and was anxious to eat. I hurried to dry off and only put on my underware and a nursing bra. I lifted him out of the crib and began feeding him in the rocking chair.

After a few minutes, I heard a call from downstairs. "Mom, I'm ready." That is Quinn's code for, "Mom, I pooped. Come wipe my butt."

I was trapped. I was faced with a decision, stay upstairs and keep nursing, and leave Quinn to wait, knowing that he might just pull up his pants and keep playing, leading to a sore butt. Or....take my mostly naked body, past the front door which is partially an uncovered window, to get to the downstairs bathroom to wipe Quinn's butt.

I decided to take the risk, with Clay still latched on, I walked down the stairs, past the front door, and into the bathroom with Quinn to wipe.

This would have been an excellent time to have a pair of Go, Go Gadget arms. I'm certain this was the first of many times when I don't have enough hands to do the job.
