Gilligan...

We picked the most humid day of the summer for a boat ride with my Grandpa Gutzman. Daddy was working so mommy and I took off for the day on our own. We met up with Aunt Amy and Uncle Jim for a day of adventure on the water. At first I wasn't so sure about it. I was ROASTING in my fancy new life jacket. But once we got on the water things were a little more comfortable.

Uncle Jim bought me this ball and insisted that I play with it. Life was much better just splashing my feet while sitting on the platform.

We took a break at a nice shallow spot to swim. Things continued to get better as the day went on. Mom took me for a little float on the tube. She is an excellent tuber as are Amy and Jim. Jim was also an expert waterskier....mom....not so much. She tried and tried but it didn't work out so well for her.

By the end of the day I was kicking Grandpa out of his seat to show him how a real captain drives. He learned a thing or two from me.

Daddy disappeared...

One afternoon, Daddy disappeared. He wasn't anywhere in the house....or so I thought.

I guess he needed a little break time with Jake.

4th of July

Mom has a thing for fire fighters. She really wanted to see how handsome dad would look as her favorite rescuer. I had to do it to...I didn't want dad to be all alone. Besides...I think I look pretty good in my fire gear as well.

Dang....how do they wear this stuff in a fire. HOT, HOT, HOT!

We took a stop at the Cavanaugh's petting zoo. I didn't get to rise a real horse though. Maybe next year.

We took some time to play in the very newly replaced playground equipment. Mom says there used to be a real Rocket Slide. I guess this new stuff ruins her childhood. Kind of like the LIttle Mermaid Two.

But as long as there's a slide....it won't ruin mine. She's kind of a sentimental type.

We went to Miss Gerri's house for a picnic. She put out this special pool for me. I wasn't prepared with the right outfit. But no one seemed to care that I swam in my clothes...and my socks.

Needless to say, I wasn't the only one who got wet.

Oooo! Ahhhh! Sparklers!

We're going to the zoo...

Daddy and Mommy took me to the NEW Zoo in Suamico. It was a long ride to get there but worth it. I learned lots about animals.

I won't tell you what I learned from the giraffes. We'll just say this guy only had one thing on my mine. Daddy wouldn't tell me what it was only that we'd be discussing it in a few years.

I thought this bird was pretty cool.

Guess what I'm pickin'

Not my nose...berries!
Grandma and Grandpa Gutzman have a raspberry patch. Generally, I don't care much for plain raspberries.

But there is something magical that happens with you are picking them yourself.
